About us

Confluentes is a network working toward a fairer, more equal future — connecting people and causes with the power to transform realities.

We believe in — and practice — philanthropy that is:

Confluentes is an exclusive network of people who share the dream and determination to transform Brazil.

Through the annual curation of a group of NGOs, we offer a simple and effective way to contribute to the country’s most strategic causes — without you having to worry about a thing.

We take care of everything: managing donations, providing guidance and support to expand the NGOs’ impact, and monitoring their progress.

All you need to do is donate.

All organizations supported by the Confluentes Network go through a rigorous selection process conducted in partnership with leading institutes and foundations from Brazil and around the world.

Confluentes maintains continuous monitoring of the results achieved by these organizations, ensuring that all donations are used effectively and transparently.

Founded in late 2019 by Inês Lafer, one of Brazil’s foremost leaders in philanthropy, Confluentes draws on her experience and expertise to ensure that all our actions are guided by best practices and a deep commitment to social transformation.

The NGOs selected are committed to driving structural, systemic, and sustainable change with the potential to generate large-scale impact across society.

They address different issues — but share the same purpose: contributing to a fairer and more equal future for Brazil.

By creating the Confluentes Network, we transform individual philanthropy into a collective and strategic movement, enabling significant resources to reach the organizations we support.
This allows them to innovate, plan, and expand their impact effectively and sustainably.

We guarantee that all funds donated through the Confluentes Network go directly to the selected organizations.

Your contribution is devoted exclusively to the causes — no fine print, no exceptions.

Being part of the Confluentes Network means joining an exclusive group of people who believe that, together, we can build a legacy of impact for the country.

Connect with some of Brazil’s most influential leaders and decision-makers.

As a Confluente, you’ll have opportunities to interact and build relationships with executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, cultural leaders, and opinion makers who share your commitment to transformation.

As a member of the Confluentes Network, you gain access to inspiring people, events, and experiences that offer new perspectives and ways of seeing the world.

Through dialogues with renowned academics, political leaders, activists, and artists — and through visits to the daily work of supported organizations — you’ll deepen your understanding of social impact, urgent societal challenges, and the causes you care about.

Within the Network, you’ll have the chance to engage directly with experts and leaders from Brazil’s most relevant civil society organizations, gaining insights that can transform your approach and actions for the better.

How It Works

On one side, Confluentes members make annual donations — which can be paid in installments — providing financial support to selected NGOs.

On the other side, we conduct a rigorous curation process, in collaboration with respected institutes and foundations from Brazil and abroad, to identify organizations with high potential for systemic impact in the country’s most strategic causes.

Once selected, these organizations are closely monitored to ensure that all contributions are used effectively, transparently, and with measurable results.
